Saving the password used to work fine with Firefox but privacy/security
changes to Firefox mean that it no longer stores passwords for HTTP
websites, only HTTPS (although not with self-cert exception). There is a
Firefox config `signon.autofillForms.http` to enable saving with HTTP
sites but I could not get it to work.
It seems that chrome still does offer to save passwords for HTTP.
I did also test with setting the webui autocomplete attribute to `on` for
the password input but that made no difference.
