That will be version 2.1 of Denemo which is still being built daily (Jeremiah - can you switch the nightly build to master now?). I don't expect that would affect how LilyPond compiled a tremoloed rest - I'm fairly sure it is the same LilyPond version that is packaged with 2.1 as with earlier releases, and in any case I don't know of any version of LilyPond that doesn't crash on a tremeloed rest. The version 2.1 of Denemo should, however, refuse to put a tremolo on a rest, so that you can't easily challenge LilyPond with one.
