So this is some special Windows behavior(*) - if you invoke a simple text editor and try to save to the Desktop does that get allowed? Perhaps some other users of Windows 10 might be able to comment... Richard (*) or is it that, by some circumstance, the permissions on your Desktop folder have been set to disallow writing? Can you create a shortcut on your desktop?
