In what way incorrect. With the cursor on the first note invoking
Command: Octave Down
Changes the note at the cursor to an octave lower
Location: Object Menu ▶ Notes/Rests ▶ Append/Edit Note
Internal Name: OctaveDown
shifts the note an octave lower and makes it sound at that octave for me.
