Your screenshot shows "No External Input" is ticked, which should cause your local settings file to register <startmidiin>0</startmidiin> that file is saved when you quit denemo (I think) so if when you quit and restart it doesn't set the new value it looks like there is a bug. But at least you figured out how to fix it :) Richard BTW please use "Group Reply" or "Reply to All" so that those searching the mailing list archives can follow the thread. > > The settings in the menu tree are these : > > > > What can I do ? > Can I reset a setting in one of the parameter files ? > If yes, where can I find them ? > > In "c:\Users\Reinhard\.denemo-2.2.0\denemorcV2" I found the > following midi tags : > > <startmidiin>1</startmidiin> > <midi_in_controls>0</midi_in_controls> > <midi_driver>portmidi</midi_driver> > <jack_connect_midi_in_port/> > <jack_connect_midi_out_port/> > <portmidi_input_device>default</portmidi_input_device> > <portmidi_output_device>default</portmidi_output_device> > > Good idea to set the bold line from "1" to "0" ? > > Best Regards, > Reinhard > > Am 19.03.2024 um 16:10 schrieb Richard Shann: > > > On Tue, 2024-03-19 at 14:24 +0100, Reinhard Greeven wrote: > > > > > Hi, > > > > > > I played around with the MIDI features, but decided, not to use > > > them. > > > > > > Since then - if I want to leave Denemo - I get this modal > > > dialogue > > > box: > > > > > > > > > > > > How can I suppress it ? > > This is a Windows-only thing, it would seem that you will not get > > it if > > you use the Input menu to de-select MIDI Input > > > > Richard > > > >
