No I don't think so. In my case it seems to be hanging during an xmlrpc call, which attempts to get new hosts from the server. I haven't yet found many good examples of using xmlrpc from Python.
I'm hoping to implement some kind of time out. The hosts from the server are great, but it's a lot more important to keep watching the logs on the local machine.
