Using the "service" stuff doesn't work at all. Do you have a script named /etc/init.d/denyhosts ? If not, the service command will not work. The RPM (for the python 2.3 version, anyway) did not have this file anywhere that I could find quickly. I've got the startup script at http://zappa.brainiac.com/denyhosts if you need a copy. Once that's in place, the service command should work. Once that's working, enable denyhosts at startup with the command "chkconfig denyhosts on" This works for Fedora/RedHat/CentOS distributions only, as far as I know. -- ====================================================================== Joe Hartley - UNIX/network Consultant - [EMAIL PROTECTED] Without deviation from the norm, "progress" is not possible. - FZappa ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sponsored by: SourceForge.net Community Choice Awards: VOTE NOW!
