Since the question seems appropriate, I'll ask again here:

I asked a while back if the development version (2.7?) of denyhosts
was available via some version control?

I admit I haven't looked at it in a while, but at the time I found a
but regarding purging an IP address from the HOSTS_DENY file. If its
present in 2.7, I can try to submit a patch.
