The intention of the license file that comes with the DB2 Universal JDBC Driver is not to restrict use to a personal or home computer, but to allow you to use it on a personal or home computer. Here is the text from the license file: Authorization for Use on Home/Portable Computer: 1 EXPLANATIONS OF TERMS: Authorization for Use on Home/Portable Computer: "1" means that the Program may be stored on the primary machine and another machine, provided that the Program is not in active use on both machines at the same time. "2" means that You may not copy and use this Program on another computer without paying additional license fees. This is actually standard IBM text and either option 1 or 2 is chosen. Option 1 is less restrictive than option 2. Also, there is text in the license file that allows you to redistribute the software as you like, provided you meet some requirements to provide the files "as is" etc. If you are still concerned about the terms from a legal perspect, let's discuss this on the derby user's list.
