Hi, The Apache JDO project is as open as can be, but we just haven't had the visibility in the incubator. This is mostly an administrative issue. We just yesterday posted the http://incubator.apache.org/jdo web site, although our wiki has been active for several months. Just as you might have trouble following the discussions on jdo-dev, I have a hard time keeping up with derby-dev. I'm only on the derby-dev-digest so I will miss things. If there is ever an issue that you think needs attention, please feel free to copy me directly at mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]. I have an apache email address but haven't had time to have it automatically forward to my sun account. :-( If it is not already well known, Apache JDO depends on Derby and we're keen on having Derby become "The Database Of Choice For Java Applications". And we're keen to do anything we can do to advance this cause. One area that we want to address is to become more aligned with Geronimo and Derby, by having a proper JDO implementation that will co-exist with EJB3 in Geronimo, using Derby for persistence.
