It is not necessary to run the J2ME JVM to build JSR-169 support into
Derby. Only the J2ME/JSR-169 classes are necessary in order to build,
so its just a matter of assigning the jsr169compile.classpath variable
to the location of the jar file(s) with those classes. (see section
3.2 in BUILDING)

I know the IBMers are using the jar files from WCTME. I haven't seen
how the JSR-169 classes are packaged in Sun's J2ME reference
implementation, but it would be nice if BUILDING.txt had appropriate
instructions to set up the build using either Sun's or IBM's
packaging.
