Bryan Pendleton created DERBY-6795:
--------------------------------------
Summary: Can the JMX docs be made to more precisely reference the
published API pages?
Key: DERBY-6795
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DERBY-6795
Project: Derby
Issue Type: Improvement
Components: Documentation
Reporter: Bryan Pendleton
Priority: Trivial
The link to the published API in the Derby 10.9 documentation for the JMX beans
is broken: http://db.apache.org/derby/docs/10.9/adminguide/radminjmxintro.html
references http://db.apache.org/derby/javadoc/publishedapi/jdbc4/ which does
not exist.
In the 10.10 and 10.11 docs, the text of the admin guide has changed to omit
the link, which means we no longer have a broken link.
But it seems like it would be more helpful to restore the link, but have it
point to the new location of the published api docs.
That is, it seems like
http://db.apache.org/derby/docs/10.11/adminguide/radminjmxintro.html should
point to http://db.apache.org/derby/docs/10.11/publishedapi/index.html or maybe
to
http://db.apache.org/derby/docs/10.11/publishedapi/org/apache/derby/mbeans/package-frame.html
