Richard N. Hillegas commented on DERBY-7142:
--------------------------------------------

Derby is an old code base and its development requires mastering an old
toolset. Contributions via subversion patches are always welcome. I don't know
of any plans to support contributions via git.

> Hi derby-dev's,
>
> first of all sorry for askin more a question through ticket system by the
> derby mailing list seems to be down (I always get timeouts when sending
> messages)
> I'd like to contribute some code to derby and wonder if the github mirror is
> suitable for this purpose?
> according to the github ui it was updated last in 2019 but I see never
> releases at maven central e.g.:
> or do I need to use (but I can't see when it was last updated?):
> or is there maybe even a completely other place an documentation is just
> outdated? I tried the wiki and confluence pages but the mostly reference each
> other and I can't get a clear view how to get the latest code.
> Thanks in advance.
