I have looked at the -part2-v1.diff patch, and I think it looks good. Is it 
intentional that the "test case" methods. E.g. testAutoCommitFailure(...) just 
have an ordianary comment, and not proper javadoc? Do we even generate javadoc 
in in derbyTesting? Anyway, if nobody objects, I think you should go ahead and 
commit this.
