Andrew McIntyre updated DERBY-1324:
-----------------------------------

    Attachment: derby-1324.diff

Attaching a patch to resolve the noted issues. A search for similar issues did
not turn up any further problems. All of these notices appeared in the original
source drop of Derby, so I am confident that removing them is the right thing
to do. I *think* the copyright notices that have been removed are covered by
the existing entries in COPYRIGHT and NOTICE.

BUT, the text in COPYRIGHT covers 1997,2004 and one of the copyright notices
removed by this patch is (c) 2003. Do I need to update COPYRIGHT to include the
2003 date? e.g. (c) 1997,2003-2004? In the land of lawyerdom, pedanticism
rules, so opinions (IANAL-or-otherwise) are appreciated as to whether updating
the dates are necessary.

If there are no further comments, I will assume lazy consensus and commit this
patch as-is some time tomorrow, along with followup patches for 10.1 and 10.0.

> An IBM copyright is in these files:
> derby/code/trunk/tools/jar/copyright.txt
> derby/code/branches/10.1/tools/jar/copyright.txt
> derby/code/branches/10.0/tools/jar/copyright.txt
> 'svn log' shows it was part of the original code contribution -- I think this
> was just missed in the copyright cleanup.
