Attaching a first proposal for documentation of the XML datatype and
corresponding operators. These changes are based on a quick examination of the
existing Derby manuals.
Two sections which are still missing are the descriptions of the XML operators
and the new SQLSTATE messages for XML. Those are forthcoming; for now, the
documentation changes shown in DerbyXMLDoc_v1.html concentrate on the
documenting the XML datatype and the limitations of its use.
I don't know anything about DITA or about how the docs are written, so I've
just included my suggested changes in this HTML document. Hopefully someone
more knowledgeable of the Derby doc process can take the steps to get these
changes committed...
