Make "mode db2sql" an optional phrase in the "create trigger" statement
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: DERBY-1770
URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DERBY-1770
Project: Derby
Issue Type: Improvement
Components: SQL
Affects Versions: 10.0.2.2
Reporter: Rick Hillegas
In order to declare a trigger, you have to include the phrase "mode db2sql".
This phrase in non-ANSI--it does not turn up in the CREATE TRIGGER production
from the ANSI spec, volume 2, section 11.39. It does turn up in the DB2
reference manual with the following explanation: "This clause is used to
specify the mode of triggers. This is the only valid mode currently supported."
This phrase should be made optional. This will strike a happy balance between
our goals of supporting the ANSI syntax while still maintaining compatibility
with previous versions of Derby.
