[ http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DERBY-1529?page=comments#action_12438538 ] Andrew McIntyre commented on DERBY-1529: ----------------------------------------
Hi Susan, I have to admit, I haven't tried to build the UI plugin yet, but I think what would be most useful is a step-by-step guide that others could follow to get from source to a compiled UI plugin that is ready for distribution, which includes where to get Eclipse, etc., would be best, like BUILDING.txt but for the plugin. Either expanding the scope of the Readme (since presumably you would need to follow those instructions to build the plugins), creating a separate document, or even putting it on the wiki would be acceptable as long as it is documented somewhere. If you're up for that, I'll be glad to test drive whatever document you put together. > The Eclipse plug-in distributions (UI and Core zip files) do not contain the > Apache license, copyright or notice files > ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- > > Key: DERBY-1529 > URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DERBY-1529 > Project: Derby > Issue Type: Bug > Components: Eclipse Plug-in > Affects Versions: 10.1.3.1, 10.2.1.5 > Reporter: Susan Cline > Priority: Blocker > Fix For: 10.2.1.5 > > Attachments: derby-1529-v01.diff, derby-1529-v02.diff > > > The Apache Derby Core and Apache Derby UI plug-ins do not contain the > appropriate Apache Software Foundation license files in their zip > distributions, derby_core_plugin_10.1.3.zip, derby_ui_plugin_1.1.0.zip. > I'm not sure exactly which files are required, LICENSE, COPYRIGHT and > NOTICE(?), but the zip files > should contain some or all of these files. -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://issues.apache.org/jira/secure/Administrators.jspa - For more information on JIRA, see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira
