I'm actually not sure what's going on with your test. It looks like the supersimple.out and supersimple.tmp files that you attached are in fact identical; the only exception is that your supersimple.tmp file contains an extra line at the beginning saying ij version 10.2 which is I think fine, and should not cause the diff that you saw. So I'm afraid I don't know what is causing the test harness to report the diff that you are seeing. bryan
