I used FOP .93 to build the Reference Manual and the Developers Guide.
I checked the cover pages, headers, footers, tables, examples, graphics, and
other
formatting and did not notice ANY difference in the PDF output using FOP .93
and our current FOP version.
I have not been able to get a build using the new toolkit and FOP .93 (but I
was able with current
version of FOP). I think that this is a separate issue, so...
I see no reason why we can't upgrade to FOP .93
