True, this could be done with my implementation, but this would make the implementation a lot harder than presently is.
I'm currently focusing on a easy 1-1 (file/persistent entity) approach, and I was trying to see if there ALREADY was a way in derby for reducing the created log/data files to a given minimum, both by size and number. Can't believe derby can't be tweaked to occupy less than the ~5MB directory with 50+ files I find myself with after just having created a couple of tables with 10 records inside them. :)
I was trying to understand If I can configure it to make it occupy less space (disable most logging, etc...). If so, how :)
