Changing the error message text to indicate the possibility of peer talking ssl would be useful, perhaps. The current message: > "A network protocol error was encountered and the connection has been terminated: A PROTOCOL Data Stream Syntax Error was detected." could be confusing. Always nice if error messages help pin-point the problem.
