In my earlier comment I had written that I was getting an XRE42.
I was getting a XRE42 because I had misunderstood killing the
slave to mean doing a kill on the network server running the master.
This does not result in a proper shutdown of the master. Hence
resulting in a XRE42 (allowing a proper shutdown of the slave).
