Kim Haase updated DERBY-3550:
-----------------------------
Attachment: rrefsqlj33923.html
DERBY-3550.diff
Thanks for filing this, Rick. I have taken the liberty of making a couple of
additional fixes to the file in addition to removing the incorrect sentence.
The changes are as follows:
1. Removed incorrect sentence stating that users can create their own
aggregates.
2. Fixed table so that stray apostrophes do not appear in generated PDF and
HTML Book files.
3. Corrected sentence introducing function list at end ("This section includes
the following aggregates") to say "Derby supports the following aggregates" --
so that it no longer implies that the aggregate function descriptions are
subtopics of the current topic.
Hope this is okay.
> The Reference guide says that you can create your own user-defined
> aggregates, but Derby does not have this capability.

> The "Aggregates (set functions)" section of the Reference Guide says "You can
> also create your own aggregates to perform other set functions such as
> calculating the standard deviation." This is not true. See DERBY-672. This
> sentence confuses users. See the following email thread:
