I periodically go through all the Jira issues to do Jira maintenance and this doesn't ring a bell. I remember the email threads but don't think there was a Jira ever filed. I think that this would be a great Google SOC project. Very useful, fairly safe, and somewhat contained and the student can still learn a lot.
