Bryan Pendleton updated DERBY-3002:
-----------------------------------

    Attachment: UpdateToTrunkSep2009.diff

Attached 'UpdateToTrunkSep2009.diff' patch does two things:
1) Updates the patch to the current trunk, and resolves some merge conflicts.
2) Restores the use of AggregateSortObserver for the common case of:
    - GROUP BY
    - no ROLLUP
    - input data is NOT already in sorted order
    - no DISTINCT aggregates.

However, I've got some test failures to investigate.

And, I still haven't investigated the review comments from Dag and Knut

And, I haven't yet re-run the performance tests to see if the performance is
improved

But here's the patch anyway, for safekeeping and to record where the work is
going.
