I don't think any additional work is needed here. I think that the current
support
for GENERATED BY DEFAULT, together with the
ALTER TABLE ... RESTART WITH ... in order to adjust the generated value,
provides all the support that we need for now.
I suggest to mark this sub-task as "wont-fix" and then I suggest we can
consider DERBY-167
as complete.
