Hi Bryan,
Knut and I have briefly discussed this offline, and we came to the same
conclusion as you.
I said I would write a patch for it, but you're free to take over if you want
to :)
In any case, I'll run the test with the index stats prototype and the patch.
Writing a reliable regression test for this seems tricky. Any ideas?
