I have checked in two changes to the Derby build: 
derby-5496-01-ab-identify14classes.diff (at subversion revision 1199234) 
and derby-5485-01-ah-changeJDBClevel.diff (at subversion revision 
1199248). Let me know if you have problems building Derby after syncing 
to the head of trunk.
