This actually came up back in Feb 2006 [1] . I'll see if I can chase
down an email pointer to a complete (hopefully coherent) explanation
since this link just starts the question.

actually, the link I posted is the end of a discussion thread. I lost
all list archives before 2008, can download them fresh, but if anyone
