One more: "[13:18] <alexanderW> One rainbow-like with many colors and one with fewer colors which fit together" I'd prefer to do the latter, if only to make it easy to target a specific color with both a mouse and a finger.
I hope all palettes will use the same number of columns. In my opinion, a 6-column arrangement is ideal.
