An dependencie in the example above would be, that before the inviatations can be checked as "Done!" the "Buy ink" task has to be finished. But the "Buy ink" task has nothing in common with the party invitation, itself.
One way of handling this "dependency" would be to expand the notion of "Start Time" for a task to be "Start Trigger". Instead of specifying a "Start Time" for task "Print Invitations", one could specify "Start when Task "Buy Ink" is marked complete".
