This is a follow up to the previous e-mail I sent out about a place
holder Scooby logo.
I've heard from a handful of people to go ahead and produce option #1
(see options in e-mail below). As it turns out (like most artwork) it
was not as easy to mimic *exactly* the same logo as Cosmo, even
with the
source files. So based on the Cosmo logo, I went ahead and
recreated the
Cosmo logo and created a new logo for Scooby. The Cosmo logo looking
*exactly* as the original, but with *very* subtle changes (ie.
alignment, kerning, etc.). New Scooby logo to look identical to the
Cosmo logo. Please review the files attached.
In addition, the source files of both logos are now in a vector
format
and will be easier to resize, reproduce on the web, and if need be,
print. And as a reminder this is a place holder logo until a more
comprehensive branding effort gets underway for a full OSAF
product suite.
So, once the logos are reviewed, please respond to the 'design' list
only please!!!
1. Take it. Replace all Cosmo logos and add Scooby logo.
OR
2. Leave it. Leave existing Cosmo logo as is, and no Scooby logo.
Thank you! -Priscilla

It has come to my attention there is a need for a place hold Scooby
logo until a more comprehensive branding effort gets underway for
the
full product suite, ie. OSAF, Chandler, Cosmo, Scooby ecosystem.
Reasons for having a place holder Scooby logo:
1. Indicate that the Scooby project is indeed a real project.
2. Scooby team morale.
I'd like to present the logo as "take it" or "leave it" process. I
will propose a logo design and we will vote to either "take it" or
leave Scooby and Cosmo as is: Scooby with a text-only "logo" and
Cosmo
with the existing logo. There will be no revisions for this place
holder logo.
The "take it or leave it" approach is to meet immediate needs in
a low
impact way. That said, everyone at OSAF recognizes that this is
only a
temporary design solution.
So here are the options as to what we can do in the mean time:
1. Create Scooby logo identical to the Cosmo logo (see attached), so
there is at least some consistency within the two projects Cosmo &
Scooby.
+ The SWAG for creating one logo: one week time.
OR
2. Create a new log for both Cosmo and Scooby.
+ The SWAG for creating two logos: two weeks time.
OR
3. Keep Scooby without a logo. Keep the existing Cosmo logo as
is. No
new logos until branding project is kicked off.
Without having to receive duplicate emails, please respond to
'design'
list only please!!!
