What would really help me is a feature that calculates and shows the
number of days outstanding that a task hasn't been responded to or
worked. From a project management point of view, when I send out tasks
to the team, I would like some indication of how long its taking for
that task to be worked, even if its morphed into a calendar event then
back to a task or then into a reference note. It would be particularly
useful to then have a view that pulled up items based upon days
outstanding, either as a collection of days, ie 2 days, one week, one
month sort of thing or a real distribution of what's outstanding.
One way to view these days outstanding items would be to have a
"jeopardy view", an "everythings ok" view and a "missed due dates"
view. The jeopardy view would show all items that are approaching their
milestone date, ie one day before. then we could sort what's needed to
be done and get onto those items which will miss their milestone due
dates unless action is taken. Somehow, I need to have a way of knowing
which items are becoming critical due to days outstanding or an
approaching milestone so that I can better triage them.
