Howdy,

Just a quick heads-up -- I've (finally) gotten things working sanely in the Web UI when the user has no collections loaded.

In the interest of expedience, I tried to work with existing UI elements -- for example, rather than trying to dim out the calendar canvas or something elegant when the user has no collections, if users try to create a new calendar item in that state, they see an error that says "You don't have any collections to put this item in. Please create a collection by clicking the 'New collection' link."

The no-collection state should not be a place that users spend a lot of time, so I don't think we should spend tons and tons of design time on it. If anybody here has any specific feedback however, it would be good to hear it. And if users have problems with specific aspects of it of course, it definitely bears coming back to.

Thanks.

Matthew
