Comment: This sounds like a misconfiguration on the end of the server you are downloading the RPM from. Basically both RealPlayer files and RedHat RPMs both end in .rpm . The only way to know the correct program to open them in is for the server to set the correct mimetype (e.g. RPMs from http://mirror.ac.uk/mirror/fedora.redhat.com/4/i386/os/Fedora/RPMS/ try to open in file roller for me).
