Public bug reported:
https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/33687

Affects: gaim (Ubuntu)
       Severity: Normal
       Priority: (none set)
         Status: Unconfirmed

Description:
Description of the problem:
When someone messages you in gaim and the window doesn't have focus, it glows
back and forth to gain your attention. However, unlike other programs which try
to get your attention this glow does not go away until you type in the window.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Log in to an IM network .
2. Wait for someone to say something to you.
3. Click on glowing box at the bottom of the screen.

Expected results:
Glowing to stop because I have read the message and don't necessarily have to
reply.

Actual results:
Task list entry continues to glow until something is typed in the window.

Additional information:
This is an option in Tools -> Preferences | Plugins | Message Notification . I
guess what I'm asking for is "Remove when conversation window receives click"
to be on by default.
