You have been subscribed to a public bug: Currently, if a python application asks for access to the keyring, the user cannot grant access in a fine grained (per python application) fashion - e.g. the user is asked to allow access for python and not the script/application name.
The idea is to make the python keyring binding smarter to look at the actual script executed. ** Affects: gnome-python-desktop (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Assignee: Ubuntu Desktop Bugs Status: Confirmed -- python API for keyring should be smarter and allow more fine grained access control https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/125546 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
