Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: metacity

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ metacity --replace
Window manager warning: "<Shift>0xea" found in configuration database is not a
valid value for keybinding "move_to_workspace_left"
Window manager warning: "<Shift>0xe9" found in configuration database is not a
valid value for keybinding "move_to_workspace_right"

I have a left arrow key and a right arrow key on my keyboard, the gnome
keybindings capplet lets me configure them to move to the workspace left and
the workspace right just fine. It also lets me configure 'move window to
workspace right/left' to Shift+Left or Right, but Metacity doesn't seem to look
this. I guess it doesn't like raw keycodes in combination with modifiers? I
don't know.

(I have also manually adjusted the gconf settings for the Compiz Cube
Rotate plugin and <Shift>0xea works for rotate window left when using
Compiz)

** Affects: metacity (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
