Thanks for your suggestion. The configurations changes should be
discussed on the mailing list, not many users read bug reports and will
comment on launchpad. The week numbers have been requested by several
users and are used in corporate environment. You can search for the key
named show_week_numbers in gconf-editor and change it if you want though
