Apologies! Please disregard my last reply. I have two virtual Ubuntu systems running in VMWare on my intelMacBookPro. The original bug report was my Edubuntu 7.04 install but my reply was based on my Ubuntu 5.10 version of Totem. When I installed them the names were so similar I was temporarily confused.
Regarding the bug report, I had tried 3 times to install the codecs but failed as first reported but I hadn't shutdown before I gave up. Rebooting that partition today, I was able to have a fresh start. This time when I selected the codecs I got a warning message for each one that stopped my double click from immediately starting to install the first selected codec. I realize now that my double-click had hastened the process before. This time I was able to select each set of GSStreamer codecs and 'applied' them all at the same time so my install went successfully and the file played. The short of it this is that I was not able to replicate the bug after rebooting. - bad debugging - but I did sucessfully install the necesary codecs. The original codec I selected before the bug appeared, "GSStreamer extra codecs - bad multiverse" was the only one listed that had the mp3 codec so I don't know why the original install that I did didn't go well, but the conclusion I can make is that the bug was a system glitch that was solved by rebooting the system. I want to thank you for your prompt response to my report. Sorry I didn't have the time suss it out before crying "UNCLE". Sebastien Bacher さんは書きました: > Thank you for your bug.
