I can confirm this on a fully updated (2007-08-28) Ubuntu Gutsy, for instance when I try to play Stage6 divx videos. In fact, if I look in the "about:plugins" Firefox page, I see that Totem is supposed to handle divx videos, but actually it doesn't.
