*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 140540 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/140540
I've got this bug too since updating the system to be up-to-date gutsy from the state of yesterday. When trying to resize the window of gnome- terminal it reportes the same resolution as xwininfo reports, so I assume it tries to use 1 pixel sized font? I try to play with font settings in profile editor (both of 'Use the system fixed width font' and my own font selections) but it does not help. Other X terminal apps work, like xterm or rxvt. Opening new terminal sometimes result in very large wide window, metacity cannot even decorate without borders etc ... I guess it's not a global font handling problem since every other applications work perfectly. A screenshot on a gnome-terminal window is attached, Midnight Commander is running inside it. This is gnome-terminal from package versioned 2.18.1-1ubuntu2, i386 gutsy. ** Attachment added: "Midnight commander in buggy gnome-terminal" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/9337103/Screenshot.png -- [gutsy] GNOME terminal has inhumanly small font (estimated point size about 0.2) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/140583 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for gnome-terminal in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
