2.20.0-0ubuntu2 should fix this. Please note that the touchpad preferences will not appear with your configuration - if you specify Option CorePointer, the method we use to alter the touchpad settings cannot work. This will change in a future version of the X server, but not in time for gutsy. In any case, this will restore the behaviour back to the way it was previously for you. Removing that option should allow you to perform runtime configuration.
