This should be fixed in Gutsy because of change too new Intel driver but with Gutsy Beta Live CD I have the problem that 1024x768 instead of 1366x768 is saved in xorg.conf. This seems to be a regression and doesn't happen with Tribe 5 which still uses the i810 driver. Of course it is no problem to change to 1366x768 with "Screen Resolution".
