Mario, could you not encourage users to install non official versions so they don't screw up their system this way? The 2.4.0-rc3 is the current upstream version, it's a stable version candidate and works usually correctly. We are dependant of the upstream schedule there and can't package a version before it's available. Your green color issue looks like an xorg or videodriver bug, which ones do you use?
