Comment: having it crashing is not a feature, but dbus upstream argue than dbus should not be restarted while running your desktop since that's the specification doesn't describe a clean way to reconnect to it for application, and they don't want to spend the efforts to make that working (not a priority for them). Patching applications require to write the patches and we are quite busy.
