I can confirm this on a fresh install of 7.10. Or, in actual fact, I can only really confirm this at this time for copying a DVD-R to a DVD+R. I use an external CD burner to read and write the disc, it's an LG (lsusb -v gives me "Bus 005 Device 006: ID 152e:2507 LG (HLDS)").
