I can confirm this issue (nautilus uses 100% CPU on one core) on my system. It's a clean installation of Gutsy dual booted with Win XP on a separate partition.
System: MB: Asus A8N Deluxe with NV chipset. AMD 64 X2 4200 2Gigs ATI Radeon 1600 Running the Vesa X driver, so no compiz or 3D running at all. Sometimes I also get the error that Gnome theme manager failed to start and I have to re-login to get the correct theme. But I don't know if it's related.
