I also have the same problem. I do too the same things tape did in the
previous comment.

But when I tried

$ ls -1 /etc/rc?.d/*hal
ls: /etc/rc?.d/*hal: No such file or directory

$ ls -1 /etc/rc?.d/*dbus
/etc/rc1.d/K20dbus
/etc/rc2.d/S12dbus
/etc/rc3.d/S12dbus
/etc/rc4.d/S12dbus
/etc/rc5.d/S12dbus

$ ls -1 /etc/rc?.d/*dhcdbd
ls: /etc/rc?.d/*dhcdbd: No such file or directory

Maybe there is something missing
